Made a big transition recently and I am in the middle of moving my stuff back in the new place. I hate moving and being uprooted, but I am not complaining...Life is good! Hope to get back to scrapping as soon as I can find an area to make into a scrap space. :)

We got our first 2 foster children today. Meet Dante and Serenity. Dante just turned 4 and Serenity is 16 months. I was nervous before they came to our house, but I don't know why. They are the sweetest little babies and are a joy to be around. I will only have them temporarily, but I will make sure they are loved and well taken care of while they are here with us. :)

was great. Had the house to ourselves for most of the weekend and that was a nice change. I got to keep Cayden for a while on Sunday. He is starting to walk and has some new front teeth. Found out about those new choppers because I was feeding him breakfast and he bit my finger, LOL. :) His hair is starting to curl like mine and Chris'...he's so cute. I love him! <3

4th of July. All of my buddies and their families came over and so did my mom and Cayden. We had a combined cookout/pool party/bonfire/fireworks with our neighbors and their friends and had a blast. I just wish my bff Cinn could have made it, she was all that was missing. She couldn't come because she is in the middle of moving. :( Glad I didn't have to work the next day because we were up very late. I had a wonderful time and I am so very glad to have spent my holiday with such great friends and family. :)

Went to see the midnight showing of Twilight Eclipse opening night. It was a sold out show but we had prepaid for our tickets and didn't even have to wait in line. I think Eclipse is the best movie so far and I really enjoyed watching it. Had a great time at Rooster's before hand with Brian, the neighbors, and Mandy and her husband. I even wore my "Mrs. Cullen" shirt. :)

I went to Chicago with my 7 of my good friends from HYWWP. We went sightseeing,watched bands, went dancing, rode around Chi Town in a limo and had lots of laughs. I really had a wonderful time and my friends are Amazing. I love them to pieces! <3

A new car for me...

After 5 weeks of looking for a car for myself, I FINALLY found one that I loved. I bought a new car so I could give the car I already have to my son Chris so he could get a job and co op from school. It was VERY frustrating looking for a car....the prices are very high and most of the cars just weren't worth the money. It was also very disappointing when I would find one I liked and it was already sold. My wait was worth it...I got a 2001 Mustang and it has an awesome stereo system and just perfect for me to drive around town in and not having a car payment is great. I also like that it is a stick shift~ No one in my household knows how to drive a stick but me. :) I am happy with it and I have no buyers remorse either. :)

for a challenge over at HYWWP. The challenge was called "Had to Have You." You had to do a challenge about some product you just HAD to have and not used yet. Mine product was the Prima Sew Cute papers I bought a while back and never used. I could never figure out what to do with them since they didn't really have coordinating printed papers to go with them or anything. Well, I finally used one of the 3 that I have last night and it turned out ok. :0) Thanks for the challenge, I really needed to use that paper. :0)

My little buddy is getting so big. He turned 3 months old last Sunday and he tries to talk, he smiles and giggles and he even tries to sit up by himself. I love him so much and I am so enjoying watching him grow. Cayden is truly a blessing to me and my family. :0)

I found my mojo! I don't know where it has been, but it's back a little bit. I just did this layout based on one of my friend Trisha's beautiful sketches. This is a pic of a gorgeous sunset on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. I have tons of pics from my vacation and I plan on scrapping my favorite pics. This is definately one of my favs. Hopefully my mojo will return back to normal soon so I can get some fall layouts done as well. :0)

but still got these 2 layouts posted. Destiny had my camera earlier and I don't know what she did to it, but the pics are coming out fuzzy/foggy. I will have to check it out and ask her if she did anything to my camera. Grrrr! This is one of my sister and I back in May of this year. I sure wish we lived closer so we could hang out all the time. At least we can spend 15 days together in Hawaii this month. YAY! This was based off of a sketch, but I don't know whose sketch...it was in a fav file of mine. :0) THe other layout is of Cayden's little feet. I just wonder where those itty, bitty feet will take him to one day. I love that little guy so much. THis one was based off of a sketch from 52 sketches in 52 weeks. :0)

This is my daughter Destiny dressed as a Glamour DON'T! Oh my goodness. I made the pic black and white due to her mismatched clothing clashing with my pretty papers. :0) She has on hot pink and black checkered tights/skinny jeans, a light pink TUTU, flip flops, and blingy sunglasses. Cayden went to the doctor last Monday. He was 3 weeks old last Saturday. He weighs 9 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 inches long now. He gained 2 pounds and growed an inch in 3 weeks. WOWZERS!! They sure don't stay little long, do they?? :0( I love him so much, he is definately my SUNSHINE!

since I have posted, but I have been super busy just living life and spending time with my new grandbaby. :0) This past Sunday, I went to the LSS with my bestie, Cinn, and we attended a small card class. This was our first time doing a class. We made these 3 doggie cards and I think they are the cutest things ever. We learned how to color our stamping with prisma pencils and a technique to blend the colored pencils. I felt like an artist after this card class and I am super excited about my new "skill". Now I see my stamps in a new light. :0) Just wanted to share this with you guys.

got here today (8-1-09) at 3:09 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and is 20 inches long. His name is Cayden Michael Todd Hicks. Todd is after my brother that was killed in a car accident in 2006. I couldn't stop crying when I found out that she named him after my brother. :0) I am in love with Cayden already!

Hummingbirds. I had never seen one until last year and it flew up by my face at work. I swatted at it, because I thought it was a wasp or something. When I figured out what it was, I was in LOVE! :0) They are the cutest, prettiest, little, tiny things. Anyways, I have hummingbird feeders at home and at work. I took this photo of one yesterday and another from last year. Just wanted to share with you something else I have a love for besides scrapbooking. I am impressing myself getting so many layouts done lately. :0) It's great though because it makes me happy when I scrap. Here is one of a little jack rabbit we found out back. He was a little tiny baby and we bottle fed him kitten milk for 2 days hoping his mom would come back. We finally saw her and set him out back and she came and got him. He looked so pitiful sitting in that grass all by himself because he was so tiny and helpless. Made another quick one of my daughter Destiny primping in the mirror. Got 2 layouts done today. One is my boyfriend Brian cooking out and the other is my son Chris at work. The one of Chris with that pitchfork cracks me up. Every time I see that pic of him, I automatically start singing the Green Acres theme song. :0) These layouts were a bit more challenging for me because they are guy layouts. I tried not to use my usual bling, flourishes, flowers or anything girly on these. I was a bit out of my comfort zone. :0)

Yep, that would be me lately. Not that I am really slacking, but I have been a little busy getting the house together for the inspectors to come on Friday. It's hard to keep it spotless with 5 kids and 2 dogs. :0) I also was busy last week digging stuff out for a garage sale last weekend. I did pretty good for a 2 day sale. I made a little over $400.00 dollars. I am taking that money with me on my trip to Texas on June 4th. I am really excited that it's really soon that I go there. I cannot wait to meet my online family and give them hugs and laugh with them. It's going to be so fun. :0) I have a 4 day weekend so I plan on getting some scrapping done. There are some awesome challenges over at HYWWP this month. I need to get my butt in gear and get some of them done!!!! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend everyone and be safe!!

Yep, that's right. It was a challenge over @ HYWWP. I never thought he would do it, but he did. He picked the papers, embellies, pics, title and ink. I helped with tearing, scallops, arrangement and the journaling. He wouldn't write anything because he said he didn't know what to say. I had him tell me some stuff and then summed it up for him in the journaling. Turned out pretty good and I will have to say he is pretty cool for doing it for me. :0)

It's raining and windy outside this morning, but it's beautiful outside too. Within a weeks time, there are little baby leaves on the trees and the grass has turned green again and all the dogwoods have flowers. My little weeping willow tree has leaves already. I love how everything is brand new in the spring. Despite the wind and rain, I was just thanking God for such a beautiful morning. :0) <3

Gave me a bunch of ribbon and fibers today. I was tickled about it. She used to have a fabric store and has tons of stuff. She is also giving me a bunch of floss, sewing needles, scraps of fabric, more ribbon, and a ribbon rack and some shelving. Yayuh!!! :)

Wow, that weekend just flew by. Back to work today and it was so BORING that I had trouble trying to stay awake all day. I have a great job, but it's only busy the first week of each month, other than that, I am lucky just to see the hot mailman. :)

I am really needing to scrap. I cleaned and reorganized my scrap room over the weekend, but never got a layout done. I am so itching to do one. :( I am going to asap. I love it!!

Cooking dinner now and then I don't know what. I'll check back later!

I went to the LSS today for their garage sale. :) I got some really good stuff for very cheap prices. Like for instance, I got an acrylic stamp set for $1.00 and rubber stamps of all kinds for .50 cents and as low as .25 cents. I even got a 12 x 12 album for $3.00. I am so tickled with all my cheap goodies!! Yay! I did NOT like standing in line all day waiting to check out though and my bf Brian was texting from the parking lot...Are you done yet??....about 5 times. He should have stayed home. LOL. :)
I am figuring this blog stuff out a bit better and have my most of my online family added on, so I am happy about that.
Not doing much today, but I am definately doing a couple of pages this weekend, so I will post them when I get them done. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I am working really hard to figure out this blog stuff. It is foreign to me. :) I guess this is my own little spot to share all the stuff I love the most with everyone that cares to take a look. I finally figured out how to do a slide show so I can show everyone some of my scrapbooking layouts. I love scrapbooking and taking pictures.

I am looking forward to this Saturday. There is a huge garage sale at the LSS. They have one twice a year and I always find great products for very cheap prices. Yay! I am excited about going. :)

I am also very excited to be going to Texas on June 4th for the Great American Scrapbooking convention. I am going to meet my online family there for the very first time and I CANNOT WAIT!!!! My online family is a great group of gals that is on a forum that I belong to called Have your way with paper. Their website is www.haveyourwaywithpaper.com. I love it there and I love everyone on the board. Like I said, they are part of my family. <3

Well, that's all for now. I still gotta find out how to do this blog.
